Feed won’t refresh, or rules/mappings not respected

Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. There seems to be nothing wrong with how you configured your rules. I however suspect that the changes are not making it to your feed as you have enabled this plugin feature: https://adtribes.io/update-product-feed-products-changed-new-ones-added/

Can you make sure to disable this checkbox and than manually refresh your feed?

Hope this makes a difference.

I tried that, but no effect. I also disabled your plugin and enabled again but no effect. Any more steps to try or just change to another plugin?

Can you share the product feed URL with us too so we can have a closer look?

Here’s the feed URL.

Note: I also just tried mapping description to match “Description” instead of “Short Description” then regenerated the product feed, and there’s no difference between the feeds (using diffchecker.com). So either my product mappings are not being respected, or the feed regeneration is not working. Again: same problem with and without the caching plugin enabled.

Note: An alternate approach that worked was in Google Merchant Center. Just go to Products > Feeds > Choose your feed name near the top > Feed Rules tab > If you see the green text “google product category” further down the page thten click to edit it. If not, click the blue “+” button near the top. Here’s what worked for me:

[your_feed_name] [equals] [your_incorrect_product_category_name]
[set to]
[google_product_category_number] [leave this second field empty]

However, after a few days of this, the plugin randomly started working again (with no plugin update) so until now I have no idea why. I left the above Feed Rules in place (they’ll just be disregarded). I’m quite sure no changes were made apart from what’s mentioned in my above replies, so I truly don’t know why it decided to start working again after being non-functional for 1.5 years!
