Feedback: Ability to Select Post Type from Better Search Widget

  • Hi,
    As the title suggests, it’d be nice to let users select (via checkboxes) the custom post types from the Better Search widget. This would keep the default WP search results separate from the widget-based results.

    P.S. I only suggest this because the plugin seems to “take over” the WP default search. But i want to dedicate a search bar ONLY to default posts, and have another search bar only for a custom post type. Is this currently doable?

    You should be able to set this in the settings page of the plugin.

    The widget has been very vanilla so far as many users asked for this. It’s definitely something I’ll consider adding into subsequent versions.
