Hi there, I’ve been holding up waiting for a solution like this. And I read the other thread about not wanting to be like CLEF which was not sustainable.

But when you put how many sites an app can log into, that puts limit on the user, not site Admin/owner which I think is a bad approach. Because if this app gets popular and I like to visit 10 different sites who use your app, it will then cause issues, right?

You said on your description, not to leave you bad feedback instead talk to you so here’s what I think you should do.

FREE Version – Unlimited Sites / 5 Keyy user PER SITE / Role based KEYY requirement

With term like above, USERS will be off the hooks / won’t need to worry while site owners will need to pay if they have more than 5 users who need to user keyy which I think is very fair. Just fyi, I do WP mainly for fun but have couple clients too. But I have 7 personal sites (not all updated but still) + 3 test sites… All of them just 1 user (myself) and logs in once per week if that. And I have few client sites, where I have over 5 users… rest just have 2 users (myself & client)

Just wanted to share my perspective that I’d be happy to pay for those sites for clients with 5 users but I won’t be happy paying for 10 personal / testing sites….

And I noticed you only allow role based requirement on paid version and this really should be on free version as well in order for site admin to control who needs to be on the keyy, otherwise, it defeats purpose of having keyy if someone (admin or editor) decided to be lazy & not get keyy.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck guys! ??

  • Hi,

Thank you for your interest in Keyy, and the feedback!

In order to try to make life simple for customers, we decided to only sell one package, so that nobody gets confused about what to buy. The package includes upgrades to both the plugin, and the app. Of course, some people may need only one, but not both. You can think of it as 2 for the price of 1. Basically, when the server is processing the decision “is this new connection paid for?”, then it only requires one of the two to have a slot available. So, if the app user has something still left in your free allowance, then it’s allowed. Or if not, then *either* the site owner *or* the app user can pay. It never needs both. So, both ends always have control. If the site owner wants to run Keyy Premium, he can. If the app user wants more slots, he can – neither is restricted by the other.

David, I think it’s the opposite, meaning your pricing model makes it more difficult.

Because as a consumer perspective, why would they ever want to pay to access a site??? Way I see it, that burden always falls on site owner & consumer side (phone app side) should always be unrestricted.

If you look at many other 2FA that are strict, they control it by saying 1 user free per site but unlimited sites… and if you want more than 1 user per site, that’s when they charge you…

It’s your business and your business model but I think having 5 websites access is going to be a major setback in the long run…

    Good Luck!
