Feedback on the ‘new’ WP support pages

I’ve only recently returned to keeping an eye on the WP support pages, and between the last time I was here and this time, the design of the pages has changed.

I like the overall new look of www.ads-software.com, but I’ve encountered a couple of things using the support pages that I thought might be worth highlighting.

1. The favorites feature under Profile seems to be broken. Currently I can’t add new support posts to the favorites, and I can’t remove existing posts from it.
2. The search seems to be less helpful than it used to be. For one thing, what’s with the ” characters that appear in every search result? For another, I’d honestly prefer to be able to choose between just searching in support posts as the default search, and also being able to choose to search the entire www.ads-software.com site.
3. There also seems to be an issue when you perform a search, and then search again from the search results page (ie, you didn’t get quite what you were looking for from the first search). This puts you back onto pages with the old www.ads-software.com theme.

By the way, I’m a PHP coder – if some of these problems are outstanding simply because no-one currently has the time to look at them, I’d be happy to donate some time to that end. I imagine their are better coders already involved, but whether or not they’re free to look at these issues is another thing.
