    All,
    Just wondering if someone can give me a quick once over to see if the site loads and colours are ok..etc…

    here’s hoping

    Hi mate, loads quickly looks professional, may be good to get a really good horse picture to add a bit of oomph to it ?
    ps is there any chance you could do the same for me on my site PAT Test Quotes.

    @pat-testing ,

    thanks, I thought it loaded a little slow but thats good. Yes maybe adding a little more animation would be a positive step. Still not finished so plenty of time.

    Thanks

    If you want to improve your speed, turn on compression. If you are using cPanel, choose Software/Services > Optimize Website.

    Just had a look at my cPanel, unfortunatley I don’t have that function….Is there not a plugin which does the same job??

    W3 Total Cache will help improve page load times. I always use this plugin but it can be tough to configure without spending considerable time researching the various options.

    Other good cache plugins are WP Super Cache and WP Widget Cache.

    WP-Optimize is great for optimizing your database.

    I think you definite lack pictures or photos – the horses, the grounds, something that will capture and hold the visitors attention and want them to read more.

    If you want to test your site speed do try https://gtmetrix.com/.

    Also you might want to see my site at https://bachutha.com. Hope this helps. And for speed improvement (your site appeared fast enough) see my article https://bachutha.com/how-to-speed-up-wordpress-my-experience-with-slow-wordpress/

    I went and found your site fast and also thought the colors and layout were effective. The site architecture is effective except that the front page promises calendars, and then I know the calendars will be on the location pages in the menu’s but the user may not know that. It would be a good idea to also have a page which is a guide to the calendars and to instruct people that is how they are to find it. You will quickly have to fill in the calendars and other data on the pages as there is nothing on the individual pages. Some text needs to be there too for SEO purposes, so you can write about each of these places, so that you have about 500 words. You have no backlinks except for the one inside this forum and you will need some. Since you are trying to sell advertising, you will need good SEO ranking. Regular blogging of new content will be needed too.

    Hi Martin,
    Thanks great feedback, luckily all of your points which are valid, are in hand and it shouldn’t take too long before each page is full with information, only half way there but it is work in process.

    cheers
