    I updated the plugin today, went in to check my 2 feeds, and found that they completely vanished. I spent weeks getting them set up and now they are completely gone! Help?!!

    I have a backup of the database if there is a way to somehow restore the plugin settings to the database. This problem was either caused by the most recent plugin update, or, by disabling the plugin and re-enabling it (neither of which should cause all of my feeds to disappear!).

    @joyryde

    Sorry to hear you experience this issue.

    We did indeed work on the ‘clean-up’ feature that removes all the plugin settings and feed configurations when a user completely deletes the plugin as we do not want to ‘pollute’ people’s WordPress environment.

    Just to check and make sure: you did not hit the ‘delete’ button at the plugin section of WordPress and only updated the plugin version?

    All the best,
    Joris

    Hi Joris, we DEFINITELY did not delete it, ever.

    We were forced by Automattic to disable all of our plugins so that they could troubleshoot Jetpack, and then we re-enabled them.

    We then updated your plugin, and lost everything.

    I’ve spent the last hour or so trying to start all over again…

    Hmpffff that sucks.

    I have a hard time figuring out why this could happen as I cannot reproduce the issue on our sites nor did we receive complaints from other plugin-users that their feeds have disappeared.

    Did you check the debug.log if that is empty too?

    Best,
    Joris

    I’m not sure where the log would be?

    I have a backup of the database but have no clue how to put the data back in, so I’m starting over from scratch…

    Could you go to the “Manage feeds” page and add this to your URL &debug=true

    Your URL should look something like this now:
    ….wp-admin/admin.php?page=woosea_manage_feed&debug=true

    On the screen you should now see a box with a red line on the left side, in it you will find the link to the debug.log

    Do you have any idea if this issue can be related to the Jetpack problem you experienced? If so I will spend some time on investigating if it impacted our plugin.

    Thx
    Joris

    The debug log only shows the new feed into that I just barely completed…

    https://djdeals.com/wp-content/uploads/woo-product-feed-pro/logs/debug.log

    The Jetpack issue was just a broken Jetpack Contact Form that was caused by another plugin.

    @joyryde

    I am really sorry but I have spent a few hours on it today and cannot reproduce the issue. As I had no other users complain that they have lost their feed configurations I am going to classify this as a freak-accident for now. Still very sorry you had to reconfigure your feed.

    All the best,
    Joris

    Hi Joris, no problem!

    I rebuilt the Google Feed in one day and had it back up and running the same day!

    Great, good to hear. Hope it brings in lots of sales too ??
