Hi, I have been completing some site maintenance and updated WordPress to vs 6.2.2. All the feeds on this page are now saying ‘Nothing to see here – yet. When they Tweet, their Tweets will show up here’. Unfortunately, I failed to check if the feeds going into this page were working prior to updating but there is another site I look after which has the same issue and that is still running WordPress 6.1.3. See https://cunninghamhill.herts.sch.uk/

I realise that this has only been tested up to WP 6.1.3 but as you can see it isn’t working on that either so I suspect that it’s something to do with Twitter and their constant backend tinkering rather than the plugin itself.

Can you advise if you’ll be releasing anything in the short term to fix this?

    Thanks

  • This is since a few days since Twitter made it impossible to view tweets without logging in.

We’re also waiting for a workaround.

As per @fatcacky I would also appreciate any feedback regarding a possible fix or do I need to look for an alternative solution.
It is real shame as this was a great plugin.
    Thanks for letting us know,

This is occurring to me, too. It was working for me on June 30th, though. Let me know if I should give any more information.

    Me too

Same issue here – any workarounds?

This is Twitter’s issue. There are now many posts on various communities with customers with this issue for over a week now.
There is much speculation of it being caused by the following implementation and alternatively, no sign that Twitter are doing anything about it:

    Agree with @girloutdoors – it’s a Twitter issue. Hopefully they’ll fix it.

Yes, it’s definitely caused by Twitter. In the past when it’s broken they have found a way round it with a new version. It’s obviously not as simple this time with the changes Elon has made!

Would be good to hear from the plugin developers though to find out if they think there is an actual fix for this or if the changes Twitter have made are too great and make this plugin obsolete.

    Musky Boy at it again.

Twitter are charging and those apps / plug-ins not paying are having their services blocked.

I’ve tried Feed Them Social and now this, both coming up with same issues.

Nice one muskyboy as if u r not richh enough already.

Hi how are things! I was looking at the following wordpress post and I noticed that the twitter feed works on your website. How could you solve it? Thank you

That’s a very good question for which I have no answer. Either the developers have tweaked something to make it work or Twitter HQ have allowed feeds again from their end. Lets see how long it lasts…

Nice! Noting the dates are not in order. (And one of the feeds for another username that I believe should work is not showing up.)

Tweets dates are listed randomly. Please fix it.

I’m so glad it’s working for some of you again! Still no luck on our end, and I don’t see any updates from the developer. Any thoughts? Site is https://www.TuftsCimar.org

Well, it’s sort of working. It’s not showing the feed in chronological order so it’s only a minor aesthetic improvement from the ‘Error Nothing to See’ message. If it’s not in chronological order there really isn’t much point in it.

I know it’s free but it’s quite disappointing that the developers don’t give any update on progress or even if progress is or isn’t possible depending on what Twitter have done.

Just wondering if there are any feed plugins out there paid for or free that are working.
