On a previous version of the plugin, the Field Instructions on a form were not enclosed in this div: <div class=”af-label acf-label”>

Now it appears that they are.

Its just a minor thing I suppose, but this means that field instructions are now bolded, which is undesirable in my case. I know I can fix this with CSS, but I wonder if the change to including the field instructions with the label served some other purpose? I would presume that in most cases field instructions on a form should be slightly less prominent than the main header/question/instruction for each field.

Definitely a minor thing and I hugely appreciate the plugin, but thought it is worth noting this in case it helps.

    Hi!

Yes this was recently changed to increase compatibility with ACF (I added the instruction_placement as an argument for forms).

The default CSS in ACF and AF shouldn’t cause the instruction to be bolded though. Could that maybe come from another plugin?

Hope you understand why this was changed and that it didn’t cause to many issues!

The explanation makes sense, thank you. I’m not certain, but I don’t believe the bold instructions is from another plugin, but I just did a manual CSS fix so for my purposes it is fine.

From my end happy to consider this resolved.
