Field Name, Needs to be Unique?

Hi,

I notice that the field name can be the same for multiple fields. Will this cause a problem?

Let’s say I have two fields within a group. One is a text field. The other is an image field. I call them both “Design for print” and the system generates the field name of “design_for_print” which is the same for both fields.

Then I use some shortcode to display the results in my theme. Maybe I’m not thinking clearly, but how will the system know which field to display on the front end via the short code if both fields have the same name?

What happens if I have fields in different groups with the same name – will this cause a problem?
