FIFU displays 2 images even if I say to display in post list

Hi,

I’ trying to get a different image on a post list and a blog post.

Specifically, I want the 400×250 image in the post list and a square image in the blog post. The reason is that the image in the list isn’t framed properly so I created a thumbnail that does the proper framing.

However, if I say not to use the image in the blog post, I get two versions of the first image of the blog post.

If I use the image, I still get two images of the blog post, but the first one is the one I cropped.

I can figure out how to use the first image of the blog post as the featured image (without repeating it) and setting a different image for the post list.

What am I not understanding?
