Fighting Contact Form and Guestbook Spam

  • I am now getting spam via my contact form and wonder if anyone knows of a way to stop it.I have the Spam Karma2 plugin already, but I guess it doesn’t handle this type of thing.

    This part of the BA configuration confuses me.I’m not good at figuring this stuff out.I have 3 wordpresses installed and am not even sure which database my main blog uses.

    Anyway, what do I do with these 3 seperate parts here? Which part do I put my databse in or do I have to create a whole new database for this plugin?

    I don’t wanna do anything to get booted off my server or anything.This plugin is so intense.

    Um. I didn’t do anything at all with any of the bb stuff. I just left it at all the defaults. No new db, no tweaks, no nothing…. It set up its own db table, that’s the end of it AFAIK.

    Well I left the databse part as it was.Basically all I did was fill in my email addy.

    I don’t know why, but for some reason I expected a big BOOM! when I activated this plugin… lol

    I guess only time will tell if it works.

    Well, I don’t have very “busy” blogs, but I haven’t had any spam at all. If you do a search around here, you’ll see a lot of folks with busy blogs that have had really good luck with bb….

    I’ve been getting contact form spam as well. I thought upgrading to 1.3 would do the trick, but alas, still getting through.

    Oh. Gotcha…. I don’t use it, I have a separate contact page setup….
