File and folder owner & groups

    Hi
    Trying to upgrade to 3.0.5 and I can not as the upgrade folder seems to have changed owner and group. I also cant upload images to the upload for the same reason, wordpress doesn’t seem to have permission

Installation Failed

    and on uploading to media library

    “photoshop_texture (11).jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /data/www/vhosts/duckeggblu-country-style-gifts.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2011/02.

    they worked ok 3 days ago, can’t see why wordpress should have changed. ANy idea? I have emailed the host support people to see if they can think of anything.

    ask your host to reset the folders to original owner/group
    for some reason on some hosts this happens when you use the uploader for images in posts or whatever
