Hi, I’m using Events Manager Pro but do not have a current support licence. The plugin version on the website is 2.3.8.1. Recently we have installed a security plugin (Wordfence) and in the scan results, it has reported this:
File appears to be malicious: wp-content/plugins/events-manager-pro/add-ons/gateways/gateways.transactions.php
This file appears to be installed by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The text we found in this file that matches a known malicious file is: “\x65\x76\x61\x6c\x28”.

    Can you please advise? Thanks.

sorry haven’t seen this issue before; maybe you can try to delete the infected line and then make sure your change the file permisson (if you are using linux server/host) to prevent unauthorized access to your site.

Thanks for your response. I’ve deleted that extra line. The file permission is already 644. Wordfence scan comes up alright now.
