File attachment under IE

I am using Contact Form 7 5.1.6 under WordPress 5.3.4

When attaching a file, the form shows a browse button, followed by the selected file:

BUTTON Warranty.pdf
BUTTON No file selected

That is how it looks under FF, Chrome, Edge
However, on IE 11 there is an input area in front of the box and, when I select a file it puts the full path name of the file in this input area (at least as much as will fit):

C:\users\owner\documents\banks pen BUTTON
BUTTON

Are you aware of any fixes to this so that the appearance under IE is the same as for other browsers.
