• Here is a specific question that will take a simple yes or no answer. Can shortcodes be added manually. Personally I can’t use the shortcode generator. In fact, I can’t access the tutorials or any of the help provided. There are no buttons available to me in the editor. This is because I use a screenreader and the plugin is not accessible. So, can it be done that way? i.e using text only, not bothering with the visual editor which I can not use, and construct shortcodes manually? If the answer is a no, I will look for another plugin to use but I thought I’d ask first.

However, if it is a yes, then where would I find examples on shortcodes to use and information on how they are constructed.

Yes, you can type them manually. The instructions are in the Tutorials tab on the File Away settings page. Why would you not have access to this?

I can’t get them activated using the keyboard. Nor do any type of mouse manipulation functions give them to me. I believe I have tried just about anything. I can after a bit of struggle get a list up, but I can do nothing with the items as they don’t communicate at all with the screen reader.

Okay, hold. I’ve fiddled a bit more and I did get something. I’ll keep trying to figure this out because it’s something of a process to get it and then dumb luck to get it right. I’ll probably be fine and hopefully I can use this once I find the right tutorial text. Thanks for your time and letting me know it can be done makes it worth it in the end I’m sure. ??
