    Hi !

My File Change Detection Settings :
Automated File Change Detection Scan : Enable
Scan Time Interval : 1 week
Send Email When Change Detected : checked with email adress

I just received an email warning me about file change detection.

A file change was detected on your system for site URL https://www.mywebsite. Scan was generated on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 at 3:39 pm

A summary of the scan results is shown below:

Login to your site to view the scan details.

In the mail, the scan results is empty, I have no idea which file(s) were modified.

If I go in the admin area, in Scanner Menu I have this message :

All In One WP Security & Firewall has detected that there was a change in your host’s files.

If I click on “View Scan Details & Clear this message” button, it’s only clearing the message, I can’t view the scan details.

So I performed an manual file change detection scan, got the same message alert on admin area, and received an other email (same content as mentionned above).

Got an idea why I can’t view scan results ?

Maybe the plugin is sending email notifications each time the Automated File Change Detection Scan is loaded, even if there was no change detected ?

Thaks in advance for your help !

Hi Zougou do you have any cache plugin installed?

    Hi !
No, I have no cache plugin installed.
My plugins (last version for all):
    – All In One WP Security
    – Contact Form 7
    – MailPoet Newsletters
    – Simple Yearly Archive
    – Vertical Scroll Recent Post
    – WPBakery Visual Composer

I activated the Twenty Fifteen theme to test if this was a theme conflict. As soon as I click the button to perform a manual file change detection scan, I got an email but the summary of the scan results is still EMPTY.
So it seems that’s not a conflict with my theme.
Maybe with one of the plugin ?

I’ll try to desactivate plugins and do some tests.
    Just to be sure:
If I desactivate (not delete) a plugin in WP, will I lost the plugin setup ?
I’d like to avoid bad surprises ??

    Thanks for your time !

Please check the log file for this plugin and also check your server’s log file to see if there is any useful info which might shed light on why this is occurring.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion !

    I found several errors in wp-security-log.txt :

    [05/13/2015 8:29 AM] - FAILURE : save_scan_data_to_db() - Error inserting data to DB!
[05/13/2015 8:29 AM] - SUCCESS : File Change Detection Feature: change to filesystem detected!
    [05/14/2015 9:33 AM] - FAILURE : save_scan_data_to_db() - Error inserting data to DB!
[05/14/2015 9:33 AM] - SUCCESS : File Change Detection Feature: change to filesystem detected!
    [05/14/2015 9:36 AM] - FAILURE : save_scan_data_to_db() - Error inserting data to DB!
[05/14/2015 9:36 AM] - SUCCESS : File Change Detection Feature: change to filesystem detected!

Also, I noticed that the first Error appeared on Day one of plugin installation :

    [04/27/2015 3:01 PM] - FAILURE : Error inserting record into MYPREFIX_aiowps_login_activity

Got an idea where this is coming from ?
Should I reinstall the plugin ?

Found a topic about same issue :
    Can’t view file scan results

    I checked the MySQL variable max_allowed_packet :
    max_allowed_packet : 1048576 (1Mo)

But I use your plugin (older version) on another site (same shared hosting) with same max_allowed-packet value, and on this site I can see scan results, I have no “save_scan_data_to_db()” error in log file.

So not really sure that errors come from a value too small for the variable ‘max_allowed_packet’…

    Is your issue now resolved?

    (@zougou)

    HI !

Yes, the problem seems to be solved since the update to WP 4.3.2.

3 January 2016, i received notification email (File change detected)
    BUT no scan results

10 January 2016, i received notification email (File change detected)
    WITH complete scan results

The only thing that happened between these 2 dates was the automatic update to WP 4.3.2.
