File Change Detection locks us out of website

  • When enabling the File Change Detection option, I receive the following message in the upper-left corner of browser window:

    define( ‘BWPS_FILECHECK’, true );
    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by…etc

    This locks out all users/admins from the website when they log on. There are approx 5-6 Warning messages when trying to log on – all referring to different lines in our wp-login.php.

    Deselecting the the File Change Detection option doesn’t fix the problem as the function is already written in the WP core files. Had to reinstall WP multiple times to figure this out.

    Before reinstalling WP again (and creating site), what could be causing this problem?
