According to Wordfence active notification for file changes, couple of hours ago I had this message that the /wps-hide-login.php file has been changed.
I check the before and after file and the only change I found was the supported WP version the WPS has.. The changed file had a downgraded supported version to 5.4 and the previous (normal) file I had before the change, had the actual n correct version of WP, v.5.5 ..
Is anyone had the same issue? Cause we didnt change the file..
Our WPS version appear to be the latest v1.5.6

    Any triggers here?

@aberbenni So you said its normal the wps-hide-login.php file that had the correct and actual wordpress version on it v.5.5, to downgrate the wordpress version included, to v.5.4?

To be exact, my original file was saying that WPS Hide Login was tested till v.5.5
And the one created/changed yesterday was saying that its tested till v.5.4.
Why the wps-hidelogin.php file to downgrade the tested WP version if it was correct, that I don’t understand..
I try to figure out if something else happend thats why Im so curious..

I’m not saying anything. I just highlighted a file change in the versioning repository.

I leave it to the creator of the plugin to answer in merit.

    Hello,

I updated WordPress 5.5 compatibility in the file but it wasn’t worth making a new version that’s why you have a difference.

    @nicolaskulka A difference on what?

Your file until yesterday was stating that is compatible with WP v.5.5 and that in your current version of WPS.
Yesterday all of a sudden your file roll back the WP supported vervion to 5.4.

That doesnt have to do probably with your will to update the version of WPS while as I stated so many times THE VERSION OF WPS LOGIN PLUGIN UNTIL YESTERDAY WAS THE LATEST (V.1.5.6)!!
    I dont get it.. sorry..

I didnt say I have the WPS version 1.5.6 and the file changed from tested to 5.4 to 5.5..

I said that the opposite hapend.. Your plugin is at the correct version (1.5.6), it had the correct version of WP tested, but yesterday from 5.5, roll back the supported WP version to the previus one (5.4) and Im trying to figure out WHY THIS ROLL BACK HAPPEND.
If an attack happend and somebody juperdize the file I have, or not.. Your plugin version stayed the same. The only downgrade was the supported WP version inside the wps-hide-login.php.. Did u made that..?
