• Here’s my site: powerspawngaming.com
When I make changes to anything in the FTP or such, the changes aren’t reflected on the site. When anyone makes a post on the forum (bbPress), the post doesn’t show up. However, once I go into a Post and click “Publish” (updating a past article or posting a new one), ALL of the changes that I made to files in the FTP and such and the forum are all updated. Why in the world is WordPress doing this?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

It would appear it was the WP-Supercache plugin causing the problem… hmm… Is it okay to leave that plugin off? I never installed it in the first place, I think my host automatically installed it when I used their installer to install WordPress.

Yes – it’s OK to leave it disabled. Your site should still work fine.

Should you chose to re-activate it, you may want to manually flush the cache when you change something via FTP. As for bbPress, you should be able to tell WPSC to ignore that folder.
