• When I try to upload a pic I get this message:
The uploaded file could not be moved to D:\Inetpub\ashara\protesis/wp-content/uploads/2011/10
Please, I’m afraid I need the answer in simple English, thanks

    You say:
you need to make the folder uploads writable. all the folders in uploads needs to writable as well.
Okay, great. Um, how would I do that?

Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

Thanks guys, I guess I’m below the level of everyone here. I have seen these instructions many times but don’t know what the wp-content directory is or how to find it.

It is inside the folder where you installed WordPress – which appears to be the main root folder in your case..
