File help

    Sorry for this newbie post but I’m struggling with getting the plugin to work!
    The dicom data I have saved from Carestream PACS has a number of different files in different folders. None of them have file extensions. WP doesn’t allow me to upload any of them as is. I have tried changing some of the file extensions to .dcm but can’t make that work either. Any advice would be gratefully received!

    Hi, thanks for trying the plugin! So what happens when you try *.dcm files? Is it a wordpress error or something else?

    Thanks for replying. Managed to get my head round all the files in the dicom folder and got some images uploaded.
    I finally got the plugin working by using the elementor editor. When I use the WP editor it lets me add the dcm files to a gallery but then doesn’t display anything when I publish the page.

    Ok, I checked it and there seem to be a problem, surely related to wordpress 5. I created a specific topic for it: broken-media-integration.

    Update (also posted in the link posted above): what does not work is the creation of dicom views via the new ‘image’ or ‘gallery’ blocks. You can do it the legacy way, using a ‘classic’ block and then choosing the ‘add media’ button.
