I have uploaded several already but today I have not been able to upload the last 3 images, all of which are from 13-95MB… I am not sure what to do.

  • Hi @kindyogi

Can you please check the file type of the image?

Here is the list of file types supported by WordPress: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Uploading_Files

Also, I want to know what error message you are getting? ??

Thanks for your help! All my files are JPG.

The error message I receive is:

Post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.

Im confused because I am uploading a smaller image than those that I have already uploaded… All Help very much welcome.

I resized the image to a smaller size and it is working! just double work because I guess I have to resize them for my gallery but I need the original large files for my prints ??
thank you for the help, if you have any info on this error message I would still like to know what it means.

    Hi @kindyogi

This issue is appearing in WordPress 5.3 and after versions. There are limitations to the larger image (more than 2500px).

You can try to solve the issue with these methods:

    Method 1:

I request you to please upload the media by going to Media >> Add New option in your WordPress Admin Area.

The message will also appear there but when you will go to Media >> Library and refresh the page, you will find your image is appearing there and then you can use that image anywhere.

It is working for me and should also work for you.

    Method 2:

You can install the plugin Disable “BIG Image” Threshold.

It can also solve the issue.

    Method 3:

You can downgrade the WordPress version using this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-downgrade/, which I will not recommend (if it is not so important) because it may create security issues or you will not be able to use some cool features of updated WordPress.
