    Hello

Thanx for developing this plugin… i really like it, but am stuck at the moment with one error that states: File is not compatible with “All In One WP Migration” plugin! Please verify your archive file.

I m running a MacBook Pro with OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 with XAMPP 1.8.3 on it and a simple WordPress 3.8.1 Site.

Question: When I export local, the plugin creates a folder in my download directory. Is this normal behavior? When I zip this with OS X and try to import this file on my Hosting Providers WebServer, the plugin states the error mentioned above.

Any Ideas what i could do to get the export/import working?

For the moment I will try to put the stuff of the folder manually to the server. I hope that i can run the .sql against the db-engine. Then everything would be fine anyway;)

Do you mean that by clicking on any of the menu items or articles you get 404?
If so, try resaving the permalinks and let me know.

Apparently so – that fixed it.
I have a beautifully functioning migrated website – your plugin is brilliant!
And your tech support is awesome!

    Thanks Yani.
    and good luck Alpha!

Excellent news! I will put refreshing of permalinks to happen on import. Coming in v1.6.0 in an hour.

    Great! thanks again.
    Signing out here…

You know one other thing that would be good…. if you could prompt whether to re-assign the Author (to e.g. Admin) on the new site… so on import… like the regular WP import tool does…

    Hi
Everything worked fine now, thank you very much!

    One note:
I have a child-theme and after import on host the pages didn’t show up (empty body tag). I had to activate the parent theme et voila… body showed up.
Then i reactivated child-theme and now everything runs perfectly;)

    Cheers

I ran into the same “File is not compatible with “All In One WP Migration” plugin!”, and solved it by manually creating the the “storage” directory (“wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage”), and making sure it had write permissions.

thank you for the solution user3780!

    Hi,
    I have this problem
    “Site could not be imported!
Please make sure that storage directory /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage has read and write permissions. “

    the permissions’s folder are 775

how can I fix this issue?

    Hi Mateo,

You have to make sure that the folder is owned by your web user (apache, http, www, www-data).
Otherwise, you will need to change permissions to 777.

Let me know if this helps.
