At the moment, image naming is hurting SEO of any blog that is using this plugin:
auto-draft-S-N-2zOIclI.jpg – this is the output that I’ve got.
There’s no way for me to know what this image is, by the look of the name, if I were to look at the files on my server.

Can we have an update with proper image naming ‘Post name’.jpg, and if exists ‘Post name-1’.jpg, 2.jpg etc,
Or even better, use Video Name to name the file. I know this won’t fit everyone need, but it is the best single naming scheme for SEO.

    Please, please, please?

Admittedly difficult for me to promise to handle anything with that at the moment, as i don’t presently have any access to that premium plugin. I can inquire internally if we want to make a purchase for it, but that won’t be a guarantee.

Until I know anything more, best I can do is open an enhancement issue for the topic on our Github repo so that we don’t lose track of the request/idea.

Not sure if it’s of any value, but there’s a repository of that plugin on github.

Not sure where you were seeing it but I wasn’t seeing anything for it at https://github.com/Yoast/ so best case someone version controlled publicly, the premium plugin.

Respectfully not touching that. It looks like a company that unofficially mirrors premium plugins against the probable intent of the original developers.

    Sorry.
