File not downloading

  • Hi all,

    In my website, the temporary link generated by the plugin doesn’t download the file. It opens a new tab and nothing happens.

    I’ve mounted a staging site and have seen these behaviours:

    • My theme (Understrap based theme): not working
    • Understrap clean theme: not working
    • Ocean WP: not working
    • Generate Press: not working
    • Twenty-twenty one: working
    • Twenty-twenty two: working
    • Query monitor plugin activated: working if logged in (any theme), not working if logged out

    What can be happening here? Any code that could be included in Query Monitor or Twenty-XXX themes that make the whole thing work properly?

    1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
    2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
    3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failing/succeeding
