    Thank you @casiepa. I deleted wp-filebase and reinstalled your version. then I uploaded all the categorised files which had been uploaded since the new wp-filebase and that has done the trick. I’m very grateful. Thanks.

    Did you try the new 3.4.0 already that is proposed now by the author to see if it works ?

    I tried 3.4.0 and the update works!

    I am not sure why but the plugin doesn’t seem to be listed in www.ads-software.com plugin section.

    So, downgrading is no longer an option with this plugin as it give me that stupid hash problem with the lastest version of WordPress. But the latest version of this plugin breaks uploading / categories horribly.

    Kind of a lose/lose for me. Anyone have a good recommendation for a replacement?
