• Hi I have just installed Cutline 1.1-3ColumnSplit. But On the themes page on the site I have the following message:

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

    Cutline 1.1-3ColumnSplit/style.css

    File not readable.

    It also says ‘stylesheet missing’

I have uploaded the files as they were extracted.

  • I am having the exact same experience.

My wordpress is connected to a domain and since it has been installed I have not been able to upload any themes or plugins.

I have been trying to figure it out for hours so some one please help us.

My wordpress is connected to a domain
Explain this. What do you mean “connected”?

I installed wordpress through my “godaddy.com” hosting account with the domain “scienceofgettingrichreview.com”.

Since then I have unsuccessfully been able to upload anything.

Well, it is not there. That’s a freely parked domain, not an active one.

You install wordpres on a domain, not connected to it…

parden me the right address is “scienceofgettingrichprogramreview.com”.

So, what is your “exactly the same problem” (which is never true!)?

I am sure the problem is me. I am having trouble to upload a theme to this address.

I have downloaded the theme from wordpress, extracted the file, connected with my FTP, and attepmted to upload in wp-content/themes yet I am still not seeing any results on my wordpress site.

    Thanx Moshu

Well, you can upload a zillion themes, and you will NOT see any changes automatically.

Can you login: admin > Presentation and select a theme?
(It is a very good idea to go and study all the possible buttons and menus in a tool when you start using it, don’t you think?)

This does not answer my problem which is no matter what theme I upload I cannot get it to work as I am advised that the:

    File not readable.

    It also says ‘stylesheet missing’

    1. @goddog – see above: that’s why I said you do NOT have the same problem… you just simply hijacked the OP’s topic!

    2. @djbarr,
What machine are you on? If you open the theme files on your machine for editing, what editor are you using?
Are you sure the files and folders are uploaded correctly?
Every theme should be in their own folder:
    …/themes/foldername/
Sometimes, they trick you and you have double folders, like
    …/themes/foldername/foldername/

Yes, you are absolutly right. I have logged in and I am familiar with presentation and my selected theme is default.

I do have a long way to go, but I have literally spent most of my day trying to upload a new theme. I just need a little help, I dont no what else to do and appreciate any guidence you can afford.

I was not trying to hijack anybodies topic I simply thought we shared the same problem. Do you want to help?

I have the themes as follows:

    ../themes/themename/

I have unzipped them and uploaded via ftp. I have not edited them at all.

You didn’t answer my other question. Are you on a Mac?
