Hi quick question, onne of our clients contacted us that he got the following “notice”

“`Script|File Owner User ID Mismatch Notice
You have different Script or File Owner User ID’s. All Script and File Owner User ID’s must be the same in order for BPS to function normally.
Go to the BPS System Info page and check the File|Folder Permissions (CGI or DSO)|Script Owner User ID (UID)|File Owner User ID table to find the folders that need to be fixed.
To Dismiss this Notice click the Dismiss Notice button below. To Reset Dismiss Notices click the Reset|Recheck Dismiss Notices button on the S-Monitor page.`”

…so i followed the instructions and… and this is the only path “#redacted#/_sub/training/wp-content/bps-backup/backups_z1l7BbcCyuTKi13” that doesnt have the Script Owner User ID (UID) and File Owner User ID like the other paths … by adding the above mentioned ISs will it resolve the problem? … or should i just tell the client to dismiss the “notice”

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

All Script & File Owner User ID’s must match in order for things to work correctly on a website/server. I made that error check a Dismiss Notice for convenience sake. Technically it should be a “Must Fix” error message that should not be dismissible. ?? So yep, go ahead and change the Script|File Owner ID for the backup folder to the same ID that all of your other folders are using.

Hi, thx for the quick answer, in the end the problem was created due file path, to be more specific the client moved the site to another url and forgot to change / configure the bps backup file path… so i went DB backup > Create backup jobs > Rename|Create|Reset .. and woala now the “notification” is gone and it works.

Great! Glad you got this figured out. I should have thought of that possibility. Oh well. ??

Same issue here, thanks @bugesweb for the fix.

    Greetings, guys! o/

I’m having the same problem and tried the same resolution provided by @bugesweb, but then another error message appears:

“Error: Unable to rename DB Backup folder.
Have you entered a valid database backup folder name? Valid folder naming characters are: Uppercase or lowercase A to Z letters. Numbers from 0 to 9. A dash “-” or an underscore “_”. Did you manually change the old DB Backup folder name using FTP? ”

In my last steps, I don’t remember doing anything as indicated in the message.

I’m no tech expert so I would really appreciate it if someone would give me a light!

Just as an addendum, this site was migrated from another domain to the current one, using the all-in-one plugin. I don’t know if it can have any relationship…

Does a BPS DB Backup folder actually exist here > /wp-content/bps-backup/backups_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx? If a DB Backup folder does exist, download any DB backup zip files that you want to save and delete the /wp-content/bps-backup/backups_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx folder. A new DB Backup folder will be automatically created by reloading/refreshing any BPS Plugin page. If a DB Backup folder does not exist or there is a Script|File Owner User ID folder problem higher up (bps-backup folder or higher up than that) in the folder structure then check the BPS System Info page > Script|File Owner User ID table for any different ID’s. If you see any different User ID’s for any folders, post the folder name(s) in your forum reply.

Hey! I really appreciate your breef answer! And I apologize for my delay.

I ended up – before reading your recommendations, given by my desperation lol ??- reinstalled the plugin, and the message disappeared. But now, there is another:

“LiteSpeed Cache Plugin htaccess code was not found in BPS Custom Code
If you just installed LiteSpeed Cache then go to the BPS htaccess File Editor page, click the Unlock htaccess File button, then go to the LiteSpeed Cache plugin settings page, choose and save the LiteSpeed Cache plugin settings that you want to use and then run the BPS Setup Wizard to automatically setup/combine LiteSpeed Cache and BPS htaccess code together.
Note: If you change your LiteSpeed Cache Plugin settings at a later time then repeat these steps. ”

I will follow the instructions and come back if I can’t! Looks like it’s something simpler.

If doing the steps in the BPS help message do not work then that means you are not using LiteSpeed Cache htaccess code or you have an nginx server. In both of those cases the solution is to create/copy LiteSpeed Cache placeholder text (below) in this BPS Root Custom Code text box: 1. CUSTOM CODE TOP PHP/PHP.INI HANDLER/CACHE CODE. Click the Save Root Custom Code button. Go to the Security Modes page and activate Root folder BulletProof Mode. Note: I believe I automated this process in the BPS Setup Wizard. So try running the Setup Wizard first and see if that works before doing the manual Custom Code steps.
