File permissions changed (777) but not working

    I have installed this plugin and after getting the original error message I created 2 flies in my FTP

    1. sitemap.xml.gz.xml
    2. sitemap.xml.xml

    and changed the file permissions to 777. I have pressed manual rebuild but am still getting the following error message.

    There was a problem writing your sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more
    There was a problem writing your zipped sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more
    The building process took about 0.04 seconds to complete and used 46.5 MB of memory.

    I’m not sure what is going wrong?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Please update to 4.0, it doesn’t use static files anymore so your problem should be gone ??
