File permissions error

  • I’ve been throught the wordpress site and set attributes (the same as chmod?) for the files to those that 1.2.2 asks for. but still get the file premissions error below ….

    A file permissions error has occurred running this script.
    Please check that the script and the directory that it’s in are only writable by the site administrator.
    If this error persists, please contact the server administrator.

    I’ve just upgraded if that helps.

    Help appreciated.

  • Which files are mentioned in this error ?
    Did this happen before the upgrade ?
    Has the host changed any security settings whatsoever ?

    In pposted the entire error message in the last post.

    No all worked before the upgrade .. I get this when I hit the “View Site” link in the admin script.
