File permissions zero after extract

I used the most new duplicator to copy site on remote server.
Good job! this one worked even when zip was disabled.
It created a .daf-file

then i copy to my ubuntu server, create db an run install.php

now all the extracted files are
-rw-r–r– and owned by www-data www-data
I cannot edit them with my username that is part of www-data group

How can I fix this…the right way ?
