File Rewrites for Apache

    Hi. First, thanks so much for this plugin. It’s awesome.

    I’ve run into a problem where my files aren’t playing and the player just shows 0:00… I see there is an nginx rewrite here: https://support.castos.com/article/59-podcast-media-will-not-play-anywhere – I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m missing, however I’m hosting on Cloudways which has Apache sititng in front of nginx, so I have a .htaccess file with some mod_rewrite stuff in it for WordPress.

    Any chance you could help with an Apache rewrite? I’ve been trying to figure out how to convert the ones provided, but I’m not having a lot of luck.

    So, the download link works fine and successfully downloads the MP3, but the player doesn’t act like it has an MP3 to play. Looking in dev tools, it looks like the URL to the MP3 (which is not hosted from the same site) is being rewritten to HTTPS and is throwing a cert validation error.

    Could this be the reason the player isn’t playing?

    I have a similar problem here, except even the download link doesn’t work. It seems like things stopped when I updated to 2.2.0. We are on LiteSpeed.

    @pburch, it looks like your link is playing fine for me on the web audio player.

    I checked again this morning and the web player works great in Chrome on my phone, but won’t play from Chrome on my laptop. So, that tells me it isn’t SSP and I’ve got something else going on I guess.

    Have you seen this troubleshooting page?

    Your website works fine for me on Safari, on my laptop and my iPhone.

    Our website doesn’t work for Safari or Chrome, both laptop or iPhone. I do wonder about the https, because Chrome default adds it on…

    I did see the troubleshooting page. The first three points are not relevant here, and the last resort is the only thing that works! Perhaps I will just have to live without those stats…

    Oh, I see. Chrome is forcing the HTTPS. I didn’t want to do this, but I added a cert to our CDN. Guess we were going to have to do that eventually.
