File size larger?

I’ve noticed that many of the images generated (that I heavily compressed/optimized before uploading to WordPress) actually end up with larger larger file sizes, specifically when the images are viewed on non-mobile retina resolutions – in some cases up to double the size. Has this been reported?

Would be great if BJ Lazy Load detected when the lower resolution image it generates is actually bigger than the original and skips it.
