I uploaded an image that has a file size of 140 kB. Its resolution is 1600 × 1067 px. After regenerating thumbnails for other image sizes, their file sizes are bigger than the original https://pasteboard.co/BNnVlh9IHLyF.jpg. For example 1120 x 747 px has a file size of 208 kB. My JPEG quality is set to default 90. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Slavek,

When our plugin regenerates thumbnails, it sends WordPress a signal to do so. In other words, the regeneration itself is done by WordPress, not by reGenerate Thumbnails Advanced, so the size is something our plugin cannot modify.

I would say that this is something specific to some images, or some kind of images, but other than this I wouldn’t know what to tell you ??

    Have a good one!

Thank you, Gerard. I will check out other images and try to ask at a WP related forum.
