file upload editing

  • I’m a huge fan of sticky list, I’ve been using it in my web applications without any issues for some time. Huge shoutout to fried_eggz for releasing such a quality plugin for free.

    Unfortunately the plugin doesn’t yet support functionality to edit file upload fields, however going through the plugin I saw a TODO comment foreshadowing its release in upcoming versions.

    To compensate, I’ve created a plugin of my own to temporarily fill the gap.

    I thought I would share my progress on the topic by pushing it to a repo — please feel more than welcome to use as much or as little of my code as you’d like should you choose to add this functionality in the future. It’s the very least I can do:

    That’s cool! I’ll definitely check this out. Is your plugin based on Sticky List and does it handle editing the multiple files field?

    It’s separate from sticky list. It’ll work with multi file upload fields of course, but only allows the user to add 1 file at a time.

    How to use this plugin? I stack on the problem – users uploading files to the form, than they cannot see this files, when trying to update the form entry from sticky list. Each user has many personal form entries.
    Is it possible to manage with this plugin that users will able to edit they uploaded files for each form entry. Your plugin is using shortcode with form entry id, but if there is many form entries?

    What precisely does entryid and fieldid refer to?
