    Hi,

The uploaded media(images, pdfs) thru file upload place listing are not showing in media library but shows in backend uploads folder.

I also tested with other hosting server to check if this is a file permissions issue but the error also occurs. I use Genesis themes and your free theme, Directory Starter and it is still the same.

    Hoping for positive response!

    Thank you!

    Hi @devff,

This is not a mistake, this is by design. We build our directories to scale to millions of listings and the normal WP DB structure is not built for that. We use our own tables that will store 1 row of data instead of around 20 rows if done the WP way.

You can edit the title and description of the uploads and when removed they will be removed from the uploads folder.

If you have any concerns just let me know.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hello @stiofansisland,

    Thank you for your clarification.

Is there any way to view the files in the WP dashboard rather than thru FTP?

    Thanks for your help ??

Hi, it is only possible to see the image uploaded on the edit listing page where they have been uploaded.

    Thanks,

    Hi @paoltaia,

I can view the image on the edit listing page(only the thumbnail) but not for pdf files.

Is there any way we can view it like there’s a link to click, view the attachments and redirect you to the /wp-content/uploads/filename.jpg so you can view the files there in your browser?

    Here’s a sample – https://prnt.sc/1vx2jp9

Thank you. I hope you will consider this as an additional functionality ??

This is very helpful for the site admins to easily view the uploaded files of their members rather than view them thru FTP.
