Hi – I’m configuring an add listing form and want to allow only MP3 uploads, max 500kb in size, and max 10 files allowed to be uploaded. I’ve set the allowed file type to only MP3.

The file upload field doesn’t give fields to specify max files allowed. How do I limit it so people can’t, technically, upload like 50 files?

The “File Size” field isn’t respecting the value I put in. The docs at https://directorist.com/documentation/directorist/customization/custom-fields-on-add-listing-page/ show to put in “2mb”, but when I enter a value formatted like that, it doesn’t respect it. I can upload files much larger when I test. Is this form field glitchy?

Why does this field say ‘(You can upload 0 files)’ no matter what I do? It lets me upload files, so saying 0 is wrong?

  • Hey @cashlin,

Let’s clear out some confusion. File Upload field by default only allows one file per listing. The message showing You can upload 0 files shouldn’t be there, we’ll take care of it later.

Now about the size, the documentation is correct, you need to specify it in ‘mb’, I’m sorry it’s not clear enough. So in your case, you should put the limit as 0.5mb, which should work.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.
