    Hello,
Just added NextGen and tried to create couple of galleries, but when I upload bunch of images I get error saying that request can’t be completed. It uploads almost all images but leaves some out.
Funny thing is if I upload bunch of 10 images, couple will be left out, or if I upload 60 again few will be left out, so it never finishes upload.
I saw in your videos you can check PHP maximum upload, I can’t see mine in overview tab but I have one of the best hosts for WP. WP-Engine so I don’t think problem is there. Maximum size of all of those 60 photos were 6mb.
Let me know if this is fixable.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Armands

@a_fotografy – Are you noting you cannot see the Site Details under Gallery > Overview | Site Details tab? This should be visible and is generally reported correctly when used on WPEngine sites (although you might look to a staging site to eliminate the possibility of their aggressive caching being involved in this issue).

We will likely need to know the information from the Site Details tab … also to note, there is a JavaScript error in the browser console for your site. I doubt it is related but should also be reviewed and considered as well.

    Thanks!

    Hi guys,

Sorry yes, I didn’t realise it is under site details section. Its there and I have 50mb cap, that shouldn’t be an issue. There must be something else.

‘there is a JavaScript error in the browser console for your site’ could you please expand on this? Certainly if you noted that, it could be some level of serious issue.

    Let me know.
    Thanks,

@a_fotografy – Can you copy and paste the information from the Site Details tab please? The value of 50MB does not provide any context by itself …

    Thanks!

@a_fotografy – Thanks for the Site Details.

What sizes of images are you trying to add to NextGEN Gallery? Also, are you seeing any error_logs entries that might be related and/or happening at the same time as when you are uploading?

    Thanks!

Each image is under 100kb. No matter how many I add, 5, 10 or 50 error always comes up. It like it uploads almost everything and only in last minute it would show error.

    Strange.

    Hi,

I will fill out report a bit later.

    One more question.

I’m a photographer and it is super important for me that image titles and alt tags are attributed correctly.

I looked in source code and I don’t see there image title tag and alt tag is empty even that I have filled out title/alt text box.

Please could you tell me what is the deal with that? I used different gallery before and always had title tag and alt tag in source code.

    Thank you,
    Regards,

@a_fotografy – This may be related to the issue of the OP and might be better addressed after the first issue has been sorted out.

    Hi,
There is no point to sort out initial problem if this alt tags are not indexed. Alt tags and title tags are super important for me as I’m photographer and I need images to be properly indexed by search engines.

I need this issue resolved first, if this can’t be resolved then there is no point to use this plugin for me.

Hope to hear soon from you. Was looking to upgrade to pro, but I don’t need any additional features, just good support. So far replies been pretty late.

    Thank you,

@a_fotografy – If the upload is failing then any meta data in the image may not be importing as well. If you want to add meta data (read: tags and/or image description) to the images you can. How those are indexed would then be more relevant to how you put forward your images and depending on what you want may require custom template(s) to achieve.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,
ok I’m a bit puzzled. I don’t add any metadata before I import photos. After import I want to go in NextGen and add in each image field title information. So I guess import would not matter in that case as I do this part after import.

    Thanks.

@a_fotografy – It seems we were both looking in the wrong direction … my apologies.

Can you re-explain the issue you are having with adding/changing the Alt & Title, Description, and Tags fields of the images under Gallery > Manage Galleries?

You might even consider starting a new topic as in this case it will not likely be related to uploading.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

So the problem what I have is I’m adding image information in Gallery manager. But if I go to view source I don’t see there, alt tag and title tag for images.

That means google doesn’t see this either. I read online that there were previously problems with this and looked like these issues were not addressed.

My previous gallery plugin had clear image title tag and alt tag, both different as they should not be the same.

So if this issue was never solved, then this plugin is useless to me.

Let me know your input on this.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Armands
