File Uploads Issue

I have followed all the instructions for adding a file upload. The plugin still only let me upload a file max of 1MB. I have added the limit text, i have tried upping the amount in the PHP file of the plugin, i am on the current WP version and PHP version and my site lets me upload upto 20MB files. – – –

I cant figure out why the plugin is still not working. We just get the error “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.” when we try and upload a file larger than 1MB.

Im at a loss in searching for a solution online and with our hosting provider. Any other ideas / solutions out there??!!
