File Uploads on Safari – form won’t submit

I have two file upload options on my form, but when you’re in Safari (I’m using version 11.1), the form will not submit unless you upload both files. If you leave one blank, or both blank, I get this error: “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 ()” for https://kpsmaine.com/wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/436/feedback.

If it helps, here is my solution in the meantime:
jQuery(document).on('submit', '.wpcf7-form', function (e) { jQuery('input.wpcf7-file').each(function() { if (jQuery(this).val() == '') jQuery(this).remove(); }); });Yes, I’m coercing the condition on purpose.
