I have got the multi-step form working perfectly, the only problem I have is that when contact 7 sends the email, it does not attach the file uploads.

I understand that the plugin doesn’t support attachments, and so it says to place them on the last step:
“This plugin does not support File Uploads. If you need to use file uploads make sure to place it on the last step.”

but even then. they don’t seem to be sent?

Any ideas? Has anyone got file attachments/uploads working?

    Thanks
    Mark

    Hi,

The last step sends mail the same way the original contact form 7 plugin does. Make sure the “File Attachments” in the “Mail” tab has your field in it. Also make sure the file you are uploading is allowed by your WordPress installation.

    Thanks for your reply!

I’ve followed all those requirements, and it doesn’t work.

When you say ” Also make sure the file you are uploading is allowed by your WordPress installation. ” I have defined the file types in the file tag e.g. ” [file file-100 limit:10mb filetypes:gif|png|jpg|jpeg|pdf]”

Are you refering to this or to something else?

    Really appreciate your help!

And just to add, I put a simple form together without multi step and the same attachement and tag worked fine.

    Thanks

Sorry, but the attachments work on my installation so I’m not too sure what is wrong.

Could you use the form that is working in your multistep forms?

Yes, everything else in the form works fine. So strange.

Any further thoughts – guess it’s tricky to debug?

    Update

I found the culprit. Another contact 7 plugin was breaking this. So nothing to do with multi-step.

    Thanks for helping!
