    thank you for your message.

    Usually this error message appears when an image has no proper read(and sometimes write) rights for the user that runs the web server.
    Many times when files are moved from one hosting to another the original file owner doesn’t match the file owner on the new system and this can lead to such access problems.

    A quick solution to this it would be to:
    1) make sure that all the files have the proper owner
    2) make sure all the images have the proper read rights

    Hi,

    Same problem for me on all images and pdf. “There was an error and your request was not processed (File was not downloaded due to access restrictions.)”

    /uploads and all folders inside are in 775 with good user (www-data).

    Thanks for the additional info.

    That’s the reason why the plugin couldn’t optimize your images, because they aren’t publicly accessible; they need to be publicly accessible so our optimization servers can access them.

    So, why it works with other image optimisation plugins (I try yours because it takes PDF) ?
