• Hi. Amazing plugin. Having a spot of trouble, however. I’ve created the fileaframe page.

    Added this ([fileup]

    [fileaframe source=”fileaframe” name=”doctree1″ scroll=”yes”])

on the “Documents” page (where I want the front end experience to be); and do get a layout, but it takes quite a long time to load (roughly 10-15 seconds), and every time I click on a file it downloads instead of opening in an iframe?

    Thoughts?

You can see it in action here: https://www.thelaw.agency/documents/

    Thanks,
    -H

The files are supposed to download. They don’t open in an iframe. The table itself is in the iframe. Also, I wouldnt put the fileup form in the iframe. I’d put it above the iframe. If people upload a bunch of files, the content may be too high for the iframe, depending on your settings.

Looking at your page, it looks like you already have the fileup form above the iframe, so that’s good. Also, the files are not downloading for me, they’re opening in a new tab, because you have the newwindow setting activated for those file types, I assume. I can’t tell you why it’s taking a few seconds to display the iframe (It’s taking me about five.) That’s a server issue, not a File Away thing. File Away iframe pages have a 1 second fade-in delay, but that’s it.

Wow. Thanks for the speedy response.

Alright, I’ll look into server speed issues – thanks for that.

Regarding getting the files to display in an iframe – perhaps then I’m doing something wrong. I want to create a front end experience where users can upload docs/pdfs and then view them in an iframe – is the [fileaframe] shortcode not the shortcode I should be using?

    Thanks,

You may want to try using the flightbox mode.

fileaframe is so you can change directories on your table without refreshing the parent page.

Flightbox is to display images, videos, and pdfs in a lightbox-type window.
