• When I first installed FileAway, the icon was visible in the page editor. However, when I tried to save the page, I got a message that I hadn’t added a display name to a base directory. Then I went to the configuration page and added one. I could save my page draft after that but then the icon disappeared from the editor. I even deleted the plugin and installed it via FTP instead of through WordPress and I’m still having the same problem. What can I do to fix this?

Did you look on the second row of the TinyMCE toolbar in your WP editor? After saving settings, the default is the second (of four) available rows. If you don’t already have those rows visible, you have to toggle them open (that’s a TinyMCE thing, not a File Away thing). You can also change which row the File Away icon is on in the File Away settings page, under the Options tab.
