Filename display in mb.miniAudioPlayer

  • I’m trying to get mb.miniAudioPlayer to display mp3 filenames consistently. Sometimes it will display them as they appear on the server, with spaces (yes I know this is bad; it wasn’t me) and sometimes spaces are replaced with %20. Not sure why this happens sometimes but not all the time.

    When I do use hyphens in place of spaces the filename is correctly displayed (with hyphens), but I prefer a shorter, more descriptive name to appear in the player.

    For example, instead of “MIO-Wk-102419-MaggieKoerner-NoBreaks.mp3” I’d rather see just “Maggie Koerner”. I tried selecting “Get the title from meta-data:” in Settings but that just seems to append the title after the filename.

    Before I start renaming and re-uploading hundreds of MP3 files, does anyone have any suggestions?
