Files don't upload to wp-content

  • What could be blocking the tool from uploading to wp-content?

    The Client Document Manager tool creates a new filename but the meat never reaches the back end. So when you go to download the file it is “Nothing found”.

    Should I be putting a <files allow> somewhere in an htaccess?
    I don’t have htaccess on my wp-content folder, but I do on my wp-admin – that shouldn’t prevent the tool executing, should it?

    Also, what should the Unix permissions be for the
    wp-content/sp-client-document-manager directory?
    It currently shows as rwx r-x r-x, which I think is odd.
