Files not backed up (db ok)

    A couple of problems.

    First despite being set to backup daily, the FILES do not backup (even though plugins are changed and new files are uploaded daily to the site). The DB does backup daily, however.

    Secondly, the backup files are NOT being removed from the backup directory. I believe this happened after we changed the site to SSL.

    Can you help please?

  • My problems here (not resolved) also seem to start around the time I switched the site to SSL now that I recall.

    I found I had to re-authenticate with Google Drive with the new SSL URL so you might want to try that (depending on your remote storage obviously) if you haven’t already but unfortunately even that has not stopped my backups failing after months of working OK.

    @zimbo000 – please start your own topic; don’t post on top of someone else’s.

    @arathra – Please can you provide a link to your log file for the problematic backup? (You can download it from the “Existing Backups” tab of your UpdraftPlus settings page).

    It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

    I was looking for the log file but it seems the FILES backup is simply not triggering.

    The database backup is happening no problem, but I can’t find a relevant log file to check the FILES backup.

    @davidanderson – I have started my own topic here which is still unresolved.

    The uploads backup still refuses to complete and keeps hanging, I try it manually every day. If you can revisit this it would be appreciated.

    @arathra If you install WP-Crontrol (plugin), and go to Tools -> WP Crontrol (not Settings -> WP Crontrol), what entries are there?

    I have many entries, but these appear to be the relevant ones:

    updraft_backup None UpdraftPlus->backup_files() 2017-06-27 14:07:10 (1 hour 9 minutes) 1 day Edit | Run Now | Delete

    updraft_backup_database None UpdraftPlus->backup_database() 2017-06-27 14:07:10 (1 hour 9 minutes) 8 hours Edit | Run Now | Delete
