Filetypes not allowed

Hi,
I just installed your plugin and it looks really promising ??
The only thing I dislike is that one hast to use wordpress media files for his uploads or ftp. My users don’t want to use ftp for their uploads and wordpress media doesn’t allow all the filetypes we want to host.
Any solution for that?
It would be great if your plugin would use its own upload space for the filetype reason and also for the reason that my uploaders can’t interfere with the media of the main site any more.
