I am already using FileAway and decided to start using FileUp. I have my shortcode defined as this [fileup base=”1″ makedir=”on” align =”left” overwrite=”true” showto=”administrator”]. However, no files are ever uploaded to the destination folder selected. I also selected upload_files under the Manager Mode but not sure that FileUp is using these settings.

UPDATE: I just discovered that the directory path was concatenated into 1 directory name xamppappswordpresshtdocs, then added to the root under XAMPP followed by addition of the correct directories selected then the picture was uploaded – C:\xamppappswordpresshtdocs\wp-content\pictures\2011 Avenue of the Giants Run\photo-m.jpg. So, I removed the makedir directive but it still did the same thing.

UPDATE: I installed an older version of the plugin 3.9.1 and it works as advertised.

As advertised, File Up is not currently compatible with Windows servers. See plugin requirements and FAQ, and numerous support requests.

My web version of this WP instance is Linux/Apache and PHP5.5 with WP4.3.1. Local instance is XAMPP with php 5.6.x and Apache. Neither of them work properly saving rows on FileAway/FileUp v3.9.6.1 – no windows server involved. Prior version works fine on both environments. Thanks.

XAMPP is the same issue with Windows server.

File Away/File Up 3.9.6.1 work just fine for me on Linux/Apache PHP 5.6 with WP 4.3.1.

The issue with XAMPP/Windows (local servers in general) is the backslashes in the file paths.

Ok, I understand about the Windows issue so let me try version 3.9.6.1 on my GoDaddy Linux/Apache/WP4.3.1 instance again and see if it resolves the file path properly. It’s a new site that has PHP5.5 currently installed (I don’t believe GoDaddy has added PHP5.6.x yet on domains). I am having to upgrade domain plans on 2 other sites because the highest version of PHP is 4.5.x and they both use a plugin that was recently re-written and it’s failing due to reliance on PHP5.5.x methods.
