• Hi everyone,

    Every now and then I use FileZilla (today I copied a child theme from 1 of my 3 websites to upload it again in the other).

    But!! Every single time I do something in FileZilla, my websites get totally screwed up. (Sometimes so bad even that I can’t even put backups back… Unfindable) Files get moved around, end up in other files and so forth. The second time this happened today (…) I made sure the third time I was extremely careful. It doesn’t help. All I can pinpoint, is that when I click a file, there is a ‘jump’ (cursor). I wouldn’t
    Expect this to mess anything up but… Things do get messed up.

    At this moment I managed to lose all my e-mail boxes, I only have an empy ‘inbox’ left. (Btw does anyone know where these files should be in FileZilla so e-mail works again?)

    Is there anyone who experienced the same thing with FileZilla? And knows the solution..? I downloaded it via the legit FZ website so it’s not likely (=possible) that that is the reason.

    @prathameshp: thanks for your reaction.

    I now know where things go wrong! I can open a file but when I want to close it, things jump around. For instance; I opened ‘domains’, in which ‘timhupkes.com’ was situated. When I closed ‘domains’, all of a sudden ‘timhupkes.com’ is in ‘public_html’ (which was and is also in ‘domains’)

    The way it looks now: https://www.timhupkes.com/mail-images/
    (the mail part)
    It’s no use to make images of the domains, because nearly every time I close a file, files go wild and are placed elsewhere.

    But this will change in an instant as soon as I open and close another file, I’m sure.. ??

    So my question is: how come these things fly around when I close a file? This never used to happen in the past!!
